Oscar is 10 Mos

Oh boy. We are now in double-digit months. Two months away from a whole year old. It's really unbelievable how quickly the first year goes and how much they change. Just 10 short months ago, we had a teeny tiny (ok, fine. He was never teeny tiny) infant who just ate and slept.
hey everyone!
Oscar is far from sedentary now! As with most kiddos this age, he is super active, very curious, and a touch (a lot?) mischievous. Oscar loves to try something, look at you, and flash a super charming grin. What a stinker!

Mischievous indeed.
Eating: The chunky monkey is continuing to decrease his milk intake. We recently lowered all his bottles (four to be exact) to 6 oz each.  We were doing 6 oz during the day and 8 oz in a.m. and p.m. before bed.  He is doing really awesome with table food. He happily tries anything.  Our struggle is that Walt's menu is pretty narrow, and we don't prepare dinner until the kids go to bed, so trying to think up mini-meals is challenging.

Sleeping: Oscar wakes up anytime between 6:30-8:00 a.m. but is more than content to hang out in his crib.  During the week, if he's up before I'm ready for work, I can finish getting ready and he'll play and roll around in his crib for 30-40 minutes. Sometimes he falls back asleep.  Oscar still turns into a pumpkin around 6:30 p.m.  So, that's his bedtime. Napping twice around 9:30a and 1:30 p.m. (the 1:30 p.m. often correlates with Walt's, as we've been putting Walt down closer to 1:00 p.m. (rather than 12:00 p.m.)

anyone wanna play catch??
Speaking: Oscar most definitely does not say any words, but he has a LOT to say. He babbles "da da da" at most things and points at everything. His favorite things to point at are pictures and photos.

Playing: What does Oscar NOT like to play with. I'm starting to notice things he truly enjoys.  He likes trying to stack things. He is obsessed with balls. Big, small, or anything circular whether it's an actual ball or not.  He also loves rolling around on our bed, and especially if Walt is up there. A close second to the playing on the bed is cruising on the couch. Both the bed and couch activity require close adult supervision :)

Oscar isn't walking (nor is he truly trying), but he sure looks like he could. He cruises on everything, stands on his own, and is all-around more brave than Walt was.  He's not afraid to fall or fail and he rarely cries.
I mean, if you're gonna help me walk, then ok!
Our hearts continue to grow and grow for this little man!

Sweet outdoor baby
Gimme that!
